Installation

In order to use R, you will need to download and install it. The installation files are available here:
https://cloud.r-project.org/

After downloading the installation file (depending on your operating system), open the installer and follow the instructions there. The installation allows you to select between 32-bit and 64-bit version; please choose the version corresponding to your system.

If you do not want to install R, there is also a portable version available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/rportable/

Be aware, however, that this is not an official activity of the developers of R. Thus, using the portable version will mean that you won’t have access to the updates immediately, but only with a slight delay. Additionally, R-portable does not integrate with your system the way standard R does.
